    Photo highlights from all four days of the festival.

    Films

    Featured films will range from works within the Museum’s collection to “black film classics,” and newly created films by emerging filmmakers.

    Special Events

    The National Museum of African American History and Culture is dedicated to the critical examination of media and visual culture through public programs, scholarship, and exhibitions.

    Exchanges

    Join this open forum to share ideas about film production and the archive of the moving image. African American home movies, deeper examinations of the Museum’s film collection, and innovations in time-based media will be explored.

    Master Classes

    Master Class instructors share examples from their work as a basis for discussing best practices in their specialized field.

    Honorees

    The Film Fest will honor two significant African American filmmakers and their contributions during the Night at the Museum Celebration on October 25th. Works by the honorees will be featured throughout the Film Fest.
